The City of Sugar Land ("City") provides the Predictive Tool ("Tool") as a public service. The Tool estimates ponding depths associated with user-selected rainfall amounts in a 24-hour period, and do not account for change or future construction. When the Tool is activated, a "Simulation" watermark will appear, indicating that the resulting maps are no longer tied to live rainfall gauge data. Although the maps represent the boundaries of inundated areas with a distinct line, some uncertainty is associated with these maps.

The data, maps and information provided should only be used as a tool for general education/awareness of possible ponding using the information provided by the user. The user assumes the entire risk associated with the results and performance of these data. The maps and data are purely computer generated, produced by projecting ponding levels by automated and operational models and should only be considered as a forecast guidance. Users should be aware of the risk due to ponding could extend beyond the areas depicted in these maps. This Tool should be used strictly as a planning reference and not for navigation, permitting, legal, or regulatory purposes. Any conclusions drawn from the analysis of this information are not the responsibility of the City of Sugar Land or its partners.

The City makes no claims or guarantees about the accuracy or currency of the contents of the Tool and expressly disclaims liability for errors and omissions in its contents. The data, maps and information in this Tool are provided "as is", without warranty to their performance, merchantable state, or fitness for any particular purpose. The burden for determining accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability and fitness for or the appropriateness for use rests solely on the user accessing this information. The user acknowledges and accepts all inherent limitations of the Tool, including the fact that the maps and data are dynamic and in a constant state of maintenance, correction and revision. The maps and associated data at this website do not represent a survey. Plans and maps are produced for posting on the City webpage and are not necessarily the most complete. No liability is assumed for the accuracy of the data delineated on any map, either expressed or implied.
